Patmos was the island where the disciple John got the vision that resulted in the book Revelations. It is said there is a church for every citizen

As I brought my G1x3 and not my Sony equipment, I will show only a few pictures. If you like them, you might visit my Patmos gallery.

Hi Addy,

Nice images and a lovely location - perhaps they don't have quite the 'punch' I'd have expected from the scene and the lighting? Oh, and there's an incomplete link to the first image I suspect.

thanks for showing us these and best regards, Neil.

Fixed the the link. Thank you for pointing that out!

These islands are what they are. These pictures are straight out of camera, if I did some pp there would be some extra punch to them.

Thank you for your kind words!

It looks like the light was a bit dull, but in reality it was probably not as hot as it normally is. You showed well Greece has a lot of water, love the mills too. And then we have the staged Vespa's, beautiful. TFS Addy .

Nice, I quite like the "soft" sky and the pastel colors of the mopeds. (I was going to say 'Vespaettes' as I couldn't read or recognize the label)

The rains that plague the Greek islands in winter still were there three weeks before. This was basically the first really nice weekend - but a lot of water still in the air. By the time the mass tourists come, in late June, the sky will be much blueer.

Thank you all for commenting. And I think they were Vespa's.

Hello addy
I just now came across this post and I liked it enough to go to your gallery and really liked It also. Living in the west, after all the brown and oranges, your whites and blues were refreshing and well photographed. I particularly liked the beautiful church artwork, that look like they reach far back in time, the seascapes and many others.
your phrase about as many citizens as churches, reminds me of the San Francisco saying, has the most bars and churches per capita
Glad I stumbled across it. Nice work, TFS_______Joe

Really like number 1 - though I might crop out that little strip of bright bricks at the top left. The flowers over the top frame it all nicely. Great image. The last is also a lovely scene featuring very interesting looking boats!

Regards

Lovely images of a Greece I never saw as green as it is here.

#1 is a real eye-catcher - and my favorite. The streak of light in the upper left corner is a bit distracting, unfortunately (should be eliminated with a minimum of PC).

TFS!

I agree with all of you, a slight crop would be good. These are straight out of camera, no PP at all.

In spring the Greek islands can be very Green. I will show more probably.
