Another fine week Howard. I'm particularly intrigued by the Planet Headington image and your comment:

I had five people from our office in Brussels stuck in Houston after a meeting there at at that time, four of them came back on the first transatlantic flight to Amsterdam. Still to avoid the ash cloud the plane followed a very southerly course over Spain and the flight took ~2 hours more than normal. The fifth colleague didn't dare to take the first flight and waited until the first landed safely and left a day later. Unusual times that were indeed.

On this week in 2011 I was participating in a Dyxum film challenge, using a Rokkor 50/1.4 on a Minolta XD-7. Proper job, as they say in my part of the world.

I'm just back from a week in St David's and will have plenty of photos to share in due course. This is a three-vertical-frame panoarama, converted to monochrome and then gently treated with some colour in Lightroom.

Back to Pembrokeshire and a lovely view of a headland, with a to-me unpronounceable name, from the path to St David's Head at Whitesands. Two frames stitched together and cropped to Cinemascope / 64:27 format.

This week in 2013

In this week nine years ago I was in a small church in Oxfordshire (Longworth) admiring an Arts and Craft stained glass window by Heywood Sumner. Pevsner says there are 'vines rising', but I was told in the church that the plants are hops, which used to be grown nearby.

I like the rainbow across the top of the window, pulling it all together.

Howard, your Week 19 Creative is a terrific photograph. I think the distant figure gives it the Wow!
