I am in line with the majority. I don't have any problems with usernames, nome-de-plumes or real names. I tend to reply using the screen name as I assume that's how someone has chosen to be known. I'm happy for people to address me as they see fit.

So random thoughts on the challenge now that we're over the 10% line

First, it seems participants are a little more confident this year, at taking photos for the challenge. Last year's experience helped me, and perhaps others.

Second, while there are fewer participants this year, I'm finding it a little easier to comment. Perhaps because I have more time. Perhaps because there are fewer photos to view. Not surprisingly the bulk of the feedback seems to come at later in the weekend, at the end of each week

Third, my more flexible parameters are working for me. One of the problems last year was I had more ambitious aspirations. Which turned out to be impossible to sustain. This time round (so far) I am finding a bit easier. I also like the wildcard option I gave myself, and so far, have used it once. (Only 11 left...).

Fourth, one thing I'm appreciating is the range of subjects I can photograph with my kit. Being able to go from say 15mm to 500mm, as well as macro, means I can usually think of something worth attempting.

Fifth, feedback on photos and well, just the posts generally, is quite encouraging. Ngā mihi nui

yeah, I think that's it- after last year its 'in our system'. We've got into the habit of taking photos regularly, on a weekly basis
