Yes, what happened to dCap? Disappeared entirely.
I'm enjoying the challenge, especially the discipline of reviewing a pile of photos I took nine years ago and getting them down to a viewable set (at least for my wife and I). The ultrawide aspect ratio (typically 64:27 or 21:9) is enjoyable too. I just wish we could show them wider and higher than the limits imposed by the forum. Cinemascope is meant to be Big. My vintage digital thread is an outlet for photos taken with cameras that are no longer current. I really ought to delve further in to the camera archive and take more new photos with stuff that is properly vintage. And the pictures being produced by others are an inspiration, as ever. Onwards and upwards! |

I like that idea. Maybe I just take pics in and around the office until this project clears. I mean, they may not be as wonderful as the seascapes but at least I'll be doing something. Thanks. |

I would imagine it would give you a few minutes of creative respite from the stress of the workload. Looking forward for you to keep going! |

We're 13 weeks in, one quarter of the way through. Congrats, all!
dCap is still shooting. I see him on Instagram and Twitter. He's off of Sony gear again though, focusing on a 365 day project instead using his smartphone and new Fuji. For me, this challenge has been at a good pace. I only had to go to all archive shots just one week. The hardest part for me is thinking up a theme for each week. I do notice that I take the same/similar shots every year, ![]() Keep up the momentum, folks. |

Agreed Art! Just enough challenge for me to stay in it and not drop off. The perfect balance to even get me exited again and looking at my old gear. I even started shopping for lenses and bodies again. (that's when you know the addiction is in full effect) |

I'm glad you're re-inspired, Eddy!! Thankfully I have not started gear shopping. However, I have always wanted to join the "full frame club" and those A7ii are right-priced, but that just means more lenses too!
When I get that itch for full-frame, I just grab a film body, LOL. If I do end up with an A7 variant, I'd probably just get a 50mm lens at first, re-create my early days of photography -- SRT-101 with a Rokkor 50, or XE-7 with a 50mm. |

It's been fun, mostly. I've enjoyed getting out a different lens each week, even the less good ones, and trying out techniques I rarely (or never) used in the past. My landscape theme is the most challenging - I'm just not very good at spotting photogenic scenes. It's also been fun seeing everyone else's efforts. |

That may just mean you have a lot more *newer* gear than me. :-) |
