Great set Art! You have the classic shot I've wanted for a long time and never got.

Week 14 Theme -- little birds. I broke out the A77ii with Tamron 200-500 last week when I heard these little birds chirping outside. I'm pretty sure these are house finches.

And an archive shot from last spring, a black phoebe using the same camera setup.

@ADub128

Nice to see the long telephoto getting a workout. I think I like the second shot of the finches the most. It's got both a good profile and the background is the cleanest.

The Black Phoebe is also looking very good. The exposure there is just about perfect.

Thanks, @Wētāpunga. These little finches are really tough to capture, especially tucked away in the branches backlit. And yes, nice to get the telephoto out and about. I usually have 4 camera bodies with lenses ready to go -- from fisheye to 500mm. It's not a bad setup, ready for most anything!

I'm delayed posting my Week 15 shots ... soon. I'll be shooting 16mm this week since it is Week 16.

Week 15 Theme -- San Diego. I played in a tennis tournament down in San Diego last weekend, so had a chance to take some pictures there. All new shots this week, no archive. These were all shot with my Sony A6400 with Sony Zeiss 16-70 ... I love this combo for travel, very versatile.

Sea Lions at La Jolla Cove

Vanishing Point at Liberty Station (former Marine training station being converted to retail and an arts center)

Kegs -- Craft beer is a big deal in San Diego ... can't really tell the scale here, right? This is at Bottlecraft at Liberty Station

Delayed posting Week 16 ... no time to shoot this week, so I'll be posting archive 16mm shots in the next couple of days. I get to learn how to search for these in Lightroom CC! I'm still enjoying the Photo 150 process, but some weeks are tougher than others.

Love the sealions shot and vanishing point at liberty station.
Good to see such prolific wildlife just on the coast.

I notice you're a fan of the a6400. Do you reckon it'd slip into the pocket of a cycle jersey easily? How do you find the AF-system in practice?

Hi Wētāpunga ... yes, La Jolla Cove is dense with sea lions and birds (cormorants, pelicans, gulls). Check my Twitter feed for a few other shots of the area.

My A6400 with Sony Zeiss 16-70 is my primary walkaround kit nowadays. I love this combination. It is a lot more compact that my DSLT and SLR solutions, but probably a bit big for a pocket of a cycling jersey. You might be able to pull it off if you put Sony's 16mm pancake lens on it, but even then it might be a little bulky.

You ever use a hydration pack while cycling? Or just a small backpack? I'd recommend a little backpack, or maybe an underseat pack.

Regarding the A6400 autofocus, it's super fast! These modern mirrorless cameras are amazing. I've used it for sport shooting and birding.

Thanks- I had hoped the a7Riii would be small enough to take on bike rides, but it is too big. It's also too big for my hydration pack (it's small with little depth).

Have cast my eye on the a7c but it's still quite pricey for something to take on a bike ride. The a6600 is a nicer size but still bigger than the 6400 and very much more expensive.

The under-seat bag has my spare inner tubes, repair kits etc so there's no room for a camera. I do have a small top-tube bag that could fit something compact.

I tend not to take the hydration pack on summer rides also.

@Wētāpunga, the A6400 uses a smaller battery than the A6600, so a smaller footprint. I have an ancient NEX-3 that doesn't have a viewfinder, just the back panel. That's a bit smaller but still APS-C. Sony doesn't sell a mirrorless body without a viewfinder anymore ... just get an RX100 variant!!

@eddy ... yes, La Jolla is spectacular. San Diego is a little more laid back and chill than LA.

I didn't have time to shoot last week, so I dug into the archives and found some shots of Griffith Observatory here in LA that I took with my NEX-3 + pancake 16mm (for Week 16!) way back in August 2011.

I wonder how many millions people have gone up and down these stairs ...

Like the stairs and it's a nice view overLA!
