   Week 5 Photo 150 Shots -- Theme: Fauna (mostly birds)

I didn't spend a lot of time on my project this week. Headed to the beach to catch some seagulls in flight. I love how they glide around. Shot with my Sony A77ii with Tamron 200-500. That first shot is in color too ... slightly overcast skies, backlit.

And for my archive shot, here is one from 2009, an opossum that showed up in our yard. An easy shot to take since these guys literally play dead and hold still  This was taken with my Sony A700 with Tamron 70-200.

	Thanks, Eddy! I call myself a "family photojournalist" so I'm very flexible with the types of shots I take. I'm bad with studio/flash setups though ... never got into it. Maybe I'll challenge myself and do still life/product/studio shots. Here are my shots for Week 6. This week's theme -- boats. 	Yeah, Eddy, San Pedro. It's close by, but maybe a 20-30 minute drive to get there. LA surface streets, LOL.

	Nice moody views Art, I especially like the first with the very vague mountains on the horizon and the diagonal composition

	Week 8 Theme: Neon ...I was originally planning to go planespotting, but with limited time, ended up doing some neon shots. Maybe I can find some planes this coming week. I can't believe we're moving through the weeks so quickly! Portillo's Hot Dogs (Buena Park, CA) -- a southern California outpost of the Chicago-area chain. Excellent Chicago-style hotdogs here. Converted to monochrome. Sony A6400 with Sony 16-70 Lighthouse Cafe (Hermosa Beach, CA) -- as seen in the movie La La Land Sony A6400 with Sony 16-70 Archive: Scanned Slide from ~1984 at the Neon Museum here in LA. The Olympics were in town that year here in Los Angeles Minolta XE-7 with my Rokkor 50 1.4

	That hot dog place is a really cool shot, very much film noir.
