Renault 5 owners, the most unhappy people on earth
I worked at a Volvo/Renault garage 20 years ago and the R5 service manual was used with white cutton gloves since it was falling apart ( and it was not the first version) Brakes system could’ve be up to 4-5 different combos on the same year and model!

Can’t argue with that. I bought it brand new, duty free, and from the first day of ownership I was never happy with it. I sold it privately after six months to an RAF Jaguar pilot who caught the train up from Bruggen and after a short test drive he took it away for his wife, paying cash. After he left I realised I still had both sets of fuel cap keys! Never heard from him again

I bought a VW Golf after that.

Project 1 Photos with the Sony FE 90mm f2.8 Macro G OSS
W26P1 Painted pebble from Ladies Mile Beach, Akrotiri, Cyprus*

Sony a7ii 1/160 f4 ISO400

* This pebble, no larger than a 50p piece, was painted by a friend during the Services Boardsailing Race from RAF Akrotiri, around the coast to Episkopi Beach in 1983. I had just qualified as an open-sea boardsailing instructor for the Royal Yachting Association. I won that race and this is a scan of a photograph of me approaching the finish with the second place board just visible on the left:

Almost 40 years ago!!! Happy memories

Thank you Maarten. I have happy memories from those days. I must have sailed my Albacore every day for three years then, the weather and conditions were so good, pretty much all year round.

It’s a pity about the sorry state of the photograph, but looking back they were all like that then

@bonneville

Some very good shots here in Week 28 and 29.

The two cats in Week 28 are an expression of joy, I like it very much.
The Minolta camera in Week 29 looks like a fantastic pice of kit- that's a flattering 'product style' shot.

And the travel photo from Jamiaca has a lot to like. The colour of the sea and the reflection of the water, the couple walking on the beach, hand-in-hand, and finally, the frame with the palm leaf gives it a very tropical feel. Well done.

@Wētāpunga. Many thanks for taking the time to view my Project 150 photos and for your kind comments. The two Bengals both died of cancer a few years ago, in the same year very sadly, but they gave us loads of pleasure and were always cuddling and wrestling each other.

The Minolta CLE was a lovely example but I wasn't really into film photography (as I am now!) and I sold it to a Dyxum member from Germany.

The Jamaica photo did come out well and it was one of my rare photography club's competition winners. I am glad you like it too.
