That's why I put it in quotes. For many (most?) people "cheap" can mean "of lesser quality" -- often not at a lower price.

I've never seen an 82mm polarizer for $20 NEW -- let alone a multi-coated one. None of my polarizers are multi-coated, and I've never understood why I could not find one that was multi-coated. I Just assumed that it must have something to do with the polarization of the filter being incompatible in some way.

Yes, it won't be cheap but last time my CPL lasted 15 years and it is still going strong, so I think I can spend a bit more to enjoy high quality item.

There is an 82mm CPL on Ebay (new) for £8.49 - I think you can assume that is cheap in both meanings.
