@pegelli - The truck in that last train photo bothers me less than the support wire in the previous one - most likely because it's a CSX (the railroad) hi-railer that can go on the roads or on the tracks.

@pauljg - I've been posting quite a bit in the railway threads.

My older son is into trains, but this is what my younger son likes:

@ p_man, my son (now 24) was into powerrangers and Pokemon (and lots more of the same style). The majority all passes, but not all

@ zedthedragon, beautiful bird, beautiful lens and beautiful shot!

# 2903, dance performance

(The Minolta 85/1.4 works great for these type of low light circumstances, even handheld )

@Rusty: no dogs today but I like these young geese and the selective sharpness of the front one.

pauljg, beautiful macro yesterday, nice selective focus and very nice light

Rusty, I also like the geesling shot but a real hazard for your front lens at 20 mm focal length!

@pegelli - great capture of the activity and bustle of a busy station. Not a very wide pano, but it suits this image very well. Was this posted in the Railway stations thread? I also really liked your dance photo. Lovely light and creative use of shallow DoF.
@pauljg - I think I see film again. Great capture. Your macro has great colors, but looks slightly overexposed to my eye.
@Rusty - wonderful goslings. I'd prefer a little more contrast, but that's just my taste, and they look nicely soft and fluffy.
@BobJ -
@zedthedragon - don't often see a macro lens used for birds. Well done.

Here's mine for today, from March 2010:

Sweet William by p_man random, on Flickr
Sony A200 | 1/25 | f/8.0 | 70 mm on 18-70 kit | ISO 100
One of our cats. He's very gentle and sociable with people, not so much with other cats. He's curled up beside me right now. It's hard to believe that he just turned 14 years old last week.
