I agree. I try to not shoot from that lower angle with my main light due specifically for the reason you mentioned Ken, the nose shadow tends to be very distracting. Lift the light up and use a reflector below her (you can even have her hold it if you go in tight on her).

Nice light, James, and I like the lens' rendering.

However, I do see jpg compression or banding in the shadows on her cheek. Could be my monitor or browser...

yes , I'm working with the jpg from the camera , still don't have raw working on Aperture
