That "analog filter" looks like it was taken on an cheap film with a cheap lens. Film is so much better then this.

I think the daughter of your friend will be happy with these. I really like #5, just the out-of-focus bit on the left is annoying. Maybe make a square crop to crop it out - also better for Instagram etc.
I would have liked more DoF on #2, now she is slightly out of focus. I can see what you wanted to do here, but it does not work for me.
I think #3 is the best of the set, with the nice smile, movement with the hand in her hair and the OOF background.
I have not really anything to say about #4. It is a good picture but I like other pictures more.
I am undecided on #6. I do not know if the high key works here.
#7 does not work for me, but that is a matter of taste. I do not like that light vignette in general.
#8 is a nice one again Though I would have liked it if she would have smiled.
Why not follow me on Instagram? @Addy_101

A good set Sashi! I think she will be happy with that.
I agree that the analog filter in #1 doesn't work well here.
For me #5 works best too, although I like #3 too. A good pose and great smile. The space at the left doesn't bother me.

@ maircontis: That is something compleley different, but I like it too. Maybe just a tad too harsh on the eyes for my taste, buth the eyes do catch you immediately. TFS

@Fred_S: Thank you for your kind comment, and you're right.... I maybe applied a little bit too "hard" post production to this shot!

Thanks, Fred. One thing was that the kid is shy by nature and getting her to make eye contact and give a smile was difficult. Hence most pics ended up looking similar. So I tried to give different treatment to see what would work.
