I've been mostly out of town the since August and haven't had a chance to comment on all the photos being posted here in the mean time! Great work, Lee, Joe, Heikki, Howard, Mathieu and all!   Keep those RR photos coming!

A steamy bbq at the train-event in Treignes
In fact there was more steam comming out the BBQ than out of the riding steam trains.


A motor-wagon on display


This small steamer was pulling some old wagons, it was rather hot, and the windows couldn't be opened.

The tourist railroad between Mariembourg-Treignes - festival on sept. 22

(there where too many smartphone-photographers next time i'll take my wide angle - so i can frustrate them instead ). It's a very nice railroad, a nice museum, and some nice landscapes too. Be very careful there - do not try to drive to the railroad stations in between. There are villages with steep hills, where even my very small car can only pass by driving gently! This one is as beautiful as the Bocq-line (Spontin or Ciney - this one cannot reach Yvoir yet...).

Thank you for sharing this very nice set of photos, Ivo!

Some beautiful old steam engines! My favorite is the crew adding water to that little tank locomotive. Also like the photo of the former DDR Reichbahn (to distinguish it from the real pre DDR and DB railroads) BR50-3696 with the station in the background. That is a nice treatment of the green steam engine with the church in the distance. When I saw the green and yellow Diesel, I realized this was probably Belgium, even without reading any captions. I remember that Fleischmann made an HO model of one of the Belgium Diesels.

From experience with visiting tourist railways, its almost impossible to take photos without having rail fans (American Railroaders call them "Foamers" -- in other words -- crazies) in view, including all those getting shots with their cell phones!

Dena, the maybe smaller sunset image has some nice tones - and a good silhouet.

And then the small train images from Audiodoc - it's not the first time we see this monster, but it's always nice to see it again in this very nice landscape. We realy enjoy these images.

Thanks..the engine is an exhibit at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas. It's on Rich Mountain, where no trains have traveled, though they do run at the base. There's a bunch of junk around the engine, stairs, signs, trees, so I made it in silhouette to keep those distractions at a minimum.

Interesting story about money raised from the Netherlands, I'm sure online somewhere.

D&S No.476 has just received a load of coal, Sept 2019. A front loader used the ramp to the left of the tender to dump coal in the tender. She's head over to the turntable next.

D&S Engine No. 476 and crew ride the TT. She will be put the rest in the Roundhouse. Tomorrow she will be ready to make another run to Silverton.



The Roundhouse which also houses a museum.
