Similar to one I posted a couple of weeks ago but I think this one is an improvement, and a different locomotive is powering the train. On the last day of the public timetable, "Elidir", built by Hunslet in 1889, runs along Llyn Padarn.
1960s built class 37 diesels 37059 and 37610 pass Rhosneigr with a cargo of spent fuel rods from Wylfa nuclear power station, on their way to Sellafield for reprocessing. |

Yes AudioDoc, exactly. I was living in Reno in a particularly stormy season when the Feather River blew out the whole Canyon. Took out the road and the Western Pacific tracks for about 6 mos. Left little communities there in tough shape. But thats life in the mountains. I was driving the road the day before the bottom fell out, the cliff walls looked like Niagara, the river was up to the road and looked like the inside of a washing machine.
I'm sure you know the story of the City of SanFrancisco passenger train stuck in the middle of a blizzard on Donner Summit area, the Sierra's. Running out of all foods after 6 days 😫 the 1st time since 09, thats Big. You guys do have the best powder. I've been to Park City Take Care, I hope your leg is fully recovered.________Joseph |
