A few photos of railway stations from Poland from ten years ago. Our rapidly growing country still has a lot to do ...

Our path crossed the railway to Kleine Scheidegg again near the Allmend Haltestelle. Had to take some pictures.... obviously!

Quit a lot of ALPHA and NEX gear, a nice collection of Sigma lenses, Dynax and M42 stuff, Gitzo's, Visico's and lots of video-equipment

Amsterdam central station, including an IBIS hotel. I bet the rooms on the lowest floor are the cheapest

I have been photographing Merseyrail's class 507s and 508s as they will soon be replaced by class 777s. These pictures were taken at Cressington station, which has a suburban feel to it and some interesting features.

No longer a station, this is the frontage for Liverpool Exchange station. The former Lancashire and Yorkshire railway terminus in Liverpool.

St Helens Central Station. Originally just St Helens it was renamed St Helens Shaw Street, then St Helens Central. The original St Helens Central station, situated on Corporation Street, was closed in 1952. This is the third building to occupy the site, having been opened in December 2007.

North Llanrwst station was opened on 17 June 1863, the only passing place on the single track Conwy Valley line. The station buildings are grade 2 listed but disused, the station is unstaffed and you buy your ticket from the conductor after boarding the train.

@Fred_S: Nicely done, Fred! The dark vignette helps draw the eye to the "high alter" of transport (or is that the exit ). The exposure and contrast were perfect for B/W conversion.

Cheers... Brian
