The country's newest station is Corwen on the heritage Llangollen Railway, opening on 2 June 2023 and marking the line's final extension to the west. Before its closure in 1964, it continued to the west coast at Barmouth. I visited on Owain Glyndwr day, his standard adorned the station and the town. Owain Glyndwr was proclaimed the last true Prince of Wales in 1400.
