I snapped a quick rainbow pic out of my window today.   I was slightly surprised that I couldn't find a rainbow themed thread on Dyxum.   I'm always pleased to see a rainbow but find them hard to photograph as they can be so fleeting and faint.

So here's one to get the ball rolling!

Camera Model: NEX-5N
Minolta 25-105 on cheap eBay adapter
About 50mm, something like f8
Exposure Time: 0.006 sec (1/160)
ISO: 100

Willem, that's the most perfect rainbow I've ever seen in a photo! It's completely complete!

Very rarely, in the air, it's possible to get a complete circle.   I saw one just once but didn't have my camera. :-(

Different kinda rainbow caught today at Bridal veil falls in the Blue mountains, NSW. Bottom of the falls were kicking out a rainbow effect as the morning light were hitting it just right, 30 minutes later it was all gone.

A350, Beercan @ 135mm, f/7.1, 1/640s, ISO200.

First artsy or proper photo posted here so the nerves are raw at the moment, lol

Here's one that I catched on the parking near Stonehenge (The rain before was the less attractive part of the visit)
