I always hated the battery door design of the Minolta 3600HS(D) & 5600HS(D) /Sony HVL-F36AM HVL-F56AM.

Ugh,I picked up a 3600 and understand why you hate that door now. Hard to open and shreds the wrapper on my eneloops

I've been using the Minolta 3600 & 5600HS/D's for nearly 20 years and don't have any problems with them .
Picked a Sony HVL-F58AM a few years back for the extra versatility and power .
That works well too .
see my photostream on flickr;
C & C welcome.
