NOW LISTED ON eBay, for sale worldwide.
SAL70200G SSM worldwide sale on eBay further reduced start price of AU$1,490 (approx Eu.823, GBP743, and US$911).
Plus insured trackable postage at cost to be borne by the buyer. I'll post world-wide. Obviously if anyone local is the buyer, the lens can be tested, picked up and paid for on delivery.
Payment can be by electronic funds transfer or PayPal.
If interested, PM me.

I've owned it since I purchased it new 9 years ago and I'm only selling it because I was able to purchase a new SAL70200G2 at a very keen price quite recently.
It has been very well cared for, and the front element has always been protected by a UV filter, but that has now migrated to my new SAL70200G2 and is not part of the sale.
No marks, haze or scratches on lens elements, clean and snappy shutter blades, quick silent and sure Super-Sonic Motor (SSM) focus. The only signs of wear are some paint scuffs on the detachable tripod mount collar as per the photos.
Comes in its original factory packaging with all the original bits - soft leatherette carry case (never used), front and rear lens caps, reversible lens hood with sliding hatch for adjusting circular polarising filter when fitted, and manuals.
After a little intermittent squeak developed during focussing, I sent it off to Digicam, Sony's official service agency in Adelaide, who advised that the SSM mechanism should be replaced, which I went ahead with. They dismantled the unit, removed the circuit board and switch block and replaced the SSM unit with a new one. Then performed alignment, cleaned the unit and optics, cleaned the exterior and tested the unit.
Their factory refurbishment is warranted for 12 months from 26 June 2019, when the work was completed, and it hasn't been used since.
So it's now functionally good as new, but with a few small cosmetic paint scuffs on the tripod mount collar.
For anyone wanting more reach, the lens works fully automatically with the Sony 1.4x as well as the 2.0x APO teleconverters. The 1.4x T/C delivers excellent image quality. The IQ with 2.0x T/C is slightly less sharp, but perfectly acceptable when stopped down.

Any questions, please PM me.

With the Australian dollar tanking in the Covid-19 pandemic, the effective Au$1,490 price is reduced to the equivalent of approx Eu.823, GBP743, and US$911. At exchange rates 27 March 2020.
Further to that I would be prepared to sell to a Dyxum member for Au$1,390 (Eu.768, GBP692, US$850).
Buyer to pay international trackable air parcel post, and optional insurance.
Any questions, PM me.
