Hello all! edited: See Update below

Iíve started doing a lot of extreme macro work lately (having purchased the excellent Laowa 6x macro lens) and I would like to get a remote shutter for the NEX 6 as itís likely even better than using the 10 second delayed timer.

Can anyone recommend one? A friend gave me her unused RMT-DSLR1 but canít seem to get it to work. The NEX 6 works on infrared but the DSLR1 may be for the A mount and I intend trying it on my A-77 later today.

Has anyone used a remote for the NEX that you can recommend?

Many thanks.

UPDATE: the RMT DSLR1 now works, may have been a battery issue but it works perfectly with the NEX-6.

Yes, I used a cheap knock off of the Sony remote, and fresh batteries certainly help, as done keeping a clear line between remote and the camera's sensor. I'm glad you have resolved the issue.
