This is a Chuckwalla (Sauromalus obesus) from Arizona. This one is well over a foot long and has lived on this wall behind my home for quite a few years. There are several others but they are smaller .

This is my favorite pic of him.


This is one to show his size...he really had a red mouth this day.


Sometimes he tolerates me getting a little closer.

Here are some alligators from my recent trip into Mexico. Not at a zoo, and they get fed fish so they don't go after the dogs. The lagoon runs right into the ocean, good swimming :) I was fairly close, first shot with an 85, second with a 30mm.

Sorry for the 'lensbaby' effect, it was shot through plexiglass of some sort.
