   “Lost in the Wave” by arny streaked away, as it were, with our Landscapes contest.  

In the end the voting interest was in the race for second place between “Silent with Mist” and “Dancing Trees” and it was so close that if not an exact mathematical tie, it deserved to be.

Our winning entry now goes into our DPC Winners hall of fame.

Kiklop and I also decided that Farmer’s shot “Rise of Gold” deserves an Honourable Mention award, so that pic is added below even though it was not one of our seven finalists. The graduated layers in this pic, and the way the sun’s rays are captured, give considerable depth.

Our thanks to all for entering and voting. If you entered and did not even make the finalists, please keep trying as there is always next time. And next time, will be DPC#7 “Seen in Black and White”. We also hope to have the “collegiate” system in place for the selection of finalists for this competition (more details in the announcement post).
