No one has published a Minolta list for the LA-EA5 yet. Maybe we have to wait until the first buyers test their Minolta lenses.

Here 'tis. Click on the relevant body, then look at the lens list for compatibility info.

Review of LA-EA5 on A7 Club in China. Minolta 80-200 focusing videos and more.

And check Japanese site.

EDIT:
Sony Japan support page.
https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/cscs/accessories/compatibility.php?area=us&lang=en&cs_ref=slct_lang&mdl=LA-EA5&cat=3&loc=en_US

There is doubt that the accuracy of each description is correct because I suspect that it was copied and pasted but not refined, but there is no doubt that Minolta lenses are also supported.

From tomorrow, there will be an exhibit of the LA-EA5 real machine at SONY Ginza.

https://www.sony.jp/store/retail/exhibition/202009/200902/index.html?s_tc=st_ml_rtm_200902_ichigan_05&utm_medium=ml&utm_source=rtm&utm_campaign=200902_ichigan
(In Japanese)

I also want to try out my lens with LA-EA5, but it takes about an hour by public transportation from my house to Ginza. I didn't have a fight to drive to such a city center, so I gave up because this was an urgent business under Corona's evil.
I'm hoping that people who are closer to Ginza and who are interested in work rather than hobbies will report.

Many thanks for the reference to the Japanese Sony support site. The German Sony support site is simply miserably translated, half sentences are missing and interspersed with untranslated English phrases, so it is much more informative to translate the Japanese support site itself with deepl . Although the information for Minolta lenses looks very much like copy / paste, as you already wrote, all old Minolta lenses seem to be supported by the LA-EA5, of course now only from the A7RIV and the 6600. But I am quite sure, future updates for the 3rd generation of Sony cameras will follow at least. It is still two months time until the sale starts.

The description that only one central AF point is valid at 500 REF is not a mistake by copy and paste, but an actual constraint. (why?)
The showroom had a compatibility list ready.

And more.

An interesting report From Sato.

For me, the LA-EA5 announcement has had perhaps the opposite result to that which Sony would hope; I was considering an A7iii, but Iíll hold off for now. I have an A6600, so the LA-EA5 will give me access to the latest AF goodness with all my A-mount lenses, and I still have my A99ii when I want 24x36.

On the other hand, the new adapter should ease my transition to something A7/9ish sometime down the track.

Likewise .
I was planning on going into town this weekend to buy an a7iii .
I've put that on hold now to see what the LA-EA5 is going to work with .
I was going to buy the LA-EA4r as I already have the 4 and I have a lot of A mount screw driven glass that I have no intention of selling .

So we'll have to wait and see what happens .

I believe there is still market for LA-EA4r monster board. 500REF AF is an example and who knows, maybe more accurate in most of the supported lenses. So far none of them are ready, la-ea5 can't even buy.

I must have missed that .
What's the difference between the two regards the 500mm reflex ?

The Monster adapter doesn't limit the 500mm F8 to the center AF point.

Thanks .
I wasn't aware that the LA-EA5 did .
I have a 500mm reflex , and it's likely to get used on it .
As I already have the LA-EA4 this is quite relevent to me .
That and mist of the lenses I'll be using are listed as compatible .
Still waiting before I buy the camera to see what happens with the LA-EA5 compatibility wise .

According to the LA-EA3 service manual, the EA3 has only a small chip and no control board. Maybe there is no control board for the EA5, which is as compact and cheap as the EA3.

In other words, it is completely different from the EA4r, which has a control board and intelligence on the converter. EA5r is not feasible.

Since there is no intelligence in EA5, correspondence on the body side is essential and variations will increase, so development and testing will not be easy.

The 7RIV+LA-EA5 is the successor to the 99II, and the 6600 is the successor to the 77II.
Since it seems that the development cost of a converter is equivalent to one new model, it is reasonable that it is cheaper to develop one converter that can be used with existing models rather than two successor models.

The EA4r and EA5 are similar, but completely different, and not exclusive. Actually I have LA-EA4r and I order EA5.
