I must say the macro feature is pretty cool for such a lens.
![]() But its a fair bit bigger than the native version (especially including the adapter) ![]() |

A few from around Dunham Massey .
Taken with an a7Riv and Sigma MC-11 . The lens is reported as a DT 24-70mm F4 SAM , though it is the Canon 24-70mm f/4 L . 1 , f/8 , SS 1/60" , ISO 160 , FL 47mm ![]() Dunham Massey by Neil , on Flickr 2 , f/8 SS 1/90" , ISO 100 , FL 29mm ![]() The old cottages by Neil , on Flickr |

All Canon lenses are reported as DT and SAM. It really is a nice lens. I do not feel the need for a native mount lens.

I bought this lens earlier on in the year and apart from trying it on an EOS 60d and a EOS 5d ( classic) to check it was working O.K , I've only been using it on film . After getting the a7Riv I had to replace the Commlite adapter I had with the MC-11 as it didn't support PDAF . I also have the Sony Zeiss 24-70mm f/4 lens , and the Canon is a far superior lens in all aspects . I'm quite happy with the ergonomics of this lens on the a7Riv , compared to the Sony , which isn't an especially small lens itself . So might as well stick with the quality . I'll probably sell on the Sony . If I want a smaller compact zoom lens , I've also picked up the Sony 28-60mm . |
