Samples: Carl Zeiss Tele-Tessar 200mm F/4

mount: C/Y Contax/Yashica
format: FF
year: 1985 - ca. 2005
max aperture: F/4
min aperture: F/32
elements/group: 6/5
aperture blades: 8
min focus distance (mm): 1500
filter diameter (mm): 55
length (mm): 122
weight (g): 550

additional information:
Unfortunately no product fact sheet for this lens exists. In comparison to the 200mm F/3.5 Tele-Tessar of the Contax system which was introduced already in 1975 this lens is more compact and less weigthy. The lens has an in-built hood.

These are some exemplary images which are in part shot at a housing estate, built in 1996, called "Nutheschlange" - along the Nuthe river in Potsdam (not the pond depicted in the images). There has been (and is) a lot of controversy about its architecture (architects: Doris and Hinrich Baller - they also designed many details like light fixtures). There are currently plans to tear down parts of it since the costs for its maintenance have skyrocketed.

Nice rendering this lens. Especially #7.

I would love to have the 180/2.8 but it is quite expensive, this, or the 135/2.8 or 200/3.5 could be an alternative. Did you try any of these?

Not yet. The 135mm and the 180mm have been on my list for a long time - but as you say, they are expensive.
