The Auto Bellows III Slide Copier came standard with Auto Bellows III kit. I tested it with the Auto Bellows Macro 50mm 1:3.5 and it works very well:

Although this lens focuses to infinity on SR camera or SR-FE adapters, it does not have a helicoid so it is not of much use as a regular lens. But I was curious how it would work. I had a cheap and ill-fitting SR adapter and short M42 adapter with a missing screw lying around and decided to Frankenstein them into a focusing adapter. The image illustrates that the image circle of the lens is not sufficient for such use; although the adaptor enables focusing to infinity the outer edge is a blur. The adapter has not survived for very long, the already compromised M42 adapter fell apart and I could not be bothered to reassemble it.

It works nicely as a close focusing lens with the adapter (provided the subject is in the center of the lens):

But for macro it was intended:

A few more:

da7 Old roses never die, they simply fade away

da8 Fungus infested

This is a photo of the front lens (group) of my Hugo Meyer Kinon 40/1.6 projection lens @ 3x magnification. A very bad case of fungus, which is destroying the lens unfortunately; but one could say that it is destroying it in a beautiful way ...

da9 Euplagia quadripunctaria, in tears
