Now that I've collected a couple of decent MC/MD glass, I want to buy an adapter to be able to mount to an A57.

I wouldn't. Adapters to mount MD/MC lenses on an A-mount camera either have glass in them or won't allow infinity focus. Using a Nex-camera is much easier - and first generation nex-cameras can be had for peanuts!

Anyway, what film did you use? Clearly is wasn't Tungsten adjusted

I actually did not know A-mount adapters couldn't go to infinity focus.... thanks for pointing that out.

The film I used was cheap, common, Fujifilm Superia X-tra 400... probably the most common you can get. And yes, not adjusted for tungsten light. Check out the 135mm samples I just posted (outdoors), those came out very nice actually.

Great shots of that chicken... Quite refreshing given the background!

A few from my plain MD (#9 on the list). A7, Fotga/Fotasy ebay adapter, camera jpegs uncropped, typically f/5.6-f/8. Great walkaround lens, nice sharpness and detail resolution.

Mine is the last version.
Very prone to flare as most of these old lenses are.
Very sharp, though. In the same league of sharpness of the Sigma EX DN.
Has a significant field curvature. So watch out for the WO shots.

Bridge of the thousand flares
