Vignetting I suspect is due to the adapter as this lens has a very large rear element which only just fits in the nikon bayonet mount, so the use of this lens on a ff sensor seems to produce this, on aps-c it's not visible.

Correction: I've got a adaptor with a additional helicoid on which adds some internal bulk to the adapter, so on a standard dumb adaptor you may not get the vignetting but then you might
