Seems like a great lens. I was thinking about getting one of those for my A7 or Nex 7.

It's one of Nikon's epic lenses. The photographer Steve McCurry used one to shoot the famous National Geographic June 1985 Afghan Girl cover.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

This one is stopped down some (not sure how much, as the adapter is declicked). ISO 1600, 1/500 (no tripod on hand, didn't sharpen or do any NR)

This is a 100% crop, the dome of the state house is 1.2 miles from where I stood.

I see that your glass is the Nikkor-P. Do you know of any significant coating improvements between the P and S models?

I couldn't provide you with any information that you couldn't find for yourself via Google I'm afraid.

This one: http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-Aperture-De-Clicked-E-Mount/dp/B004G1AOSM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400458670&sr=8-1&keywords=fotodiox+pro+nikon+nex

I don't like that it is declicked. Aside from that, it feels pretty high quality. Well, I also don't care for the blue color.
