Thanks, Cam. I thought the bokeh on #4 one was pretty cool. Looks like I can trust the new A700 at ISO 400.

Lovely swallowtails Brian, esp #2. But what happened to the flower in #1? Some strange artefacts there, I think?

Thanks, dilettante! I took a closer look at #1 and it appears that I oversharpened some beetle damage during the second pass.

@ Darren, I like the first one very much, I like it when some more environment is included and you've blended it in a nice composition.

Yesterday my wife and daughters warned me there was an "albino moth" sitting on our front door. Don't know what it is, so help much appreciated:

I didn't manage to identify your handsome moth, pegelli.

Here's a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly

And check out the antennae on these! I'm not sure of the species, some sort of Nemophora I think (having referred to UKmoths.org.uk)

Loads and loads of brilliant shots here...but pegelli..That white moth on a white background...must have been a nightmare exposure-wise..Impressive work!!!!

I think it's some kind of tiger moth..not sure, though..

Pavel that is very impressive of the moth. Those things can be really awkward to get a good shot of, for some reason their scales play havoc when trying to get a sharp shot, they are just too small and tend to get lost in diffraction blurring. that is one of the nicest ones i have seen of them.
