I'm not too good at butterfly ID, but my best guess is Pieris rapae (Cabbage White).

Beautiful butterflies on this page!

Here's a moth with crazy antennae - there were lots of these flitting up and down in a column.

This chap landed on our kitchen window as I was unpacking my latest toy (tamron 90mm). He seemed quite content for me to snap away. I was pleased to get a different angle from the normal bug shot. I don't usually see them from underneath....





Also, I think I need to wash my kitchen windows. Thanks for looking!

An Orange Tip. These things never seem to settle, so I'm pleased to have got this rather average shot, taken with A700 + CZ16-80, and fairly heavily cropped.
