Two gold painted UK Type K boxes commemorating the gold medal won at the 2012 Olympics by rower, Pete Reid. I think he has the most boxes painted in this way. One is in London, near where he was living, the other three are in his home town/village of Nailsworth in Gloucestershire. This pair are in the main street.

Olympic boxes.

Here is a rare, probably unique, set in Windsor a few yards from the Castle. On the left is a stamp dispenser; these have not been used for a long time - you still find them around, often in walls where it's easier to leave them and just paint over them. In the middle is a Type A box from the recently ended reign of Elizabeth II - still in use. On the right is a George V era (1910-36) Type B box with a double 'collection plate holder'; this, and the blue paint, indicate that it was an airmail box (I think this may be the only example outside of a museum).

Windsor triptych.

A big George V wall box being emptied - these trolleys are used around the town's pedestrianised area.

Collecting the mail.

Two modern Dutch "2 slot" mailboxes we saw in Breda at our Dyxum meeting last month.
The right slot is for "local" mail (indicated by a range of postal codes) and the left one for all other destinations.

Old letterbox on the repurposed post office in Lokeren (Belgium).
The building is now a restaurant, so you can't drop off your mail there anymore.
