Good for you, Frank. I grew up understanding Ford stood for "Found on Roadside Dead" though other deluded souls thought it stood for "First On Race Day"...

Here's an interesting one. I've never seen a race car with a pipe sticking out the passenger window before. Maybe for cooling?

Hi EK - Yes; I believe forced cooling for the driver - no a/c and temperatures get pretty high in there. Mind you, he also has the window open as well so it does look a little 'odd'... It may also be to cool other parts held in the passenger compartment of the vehicle as well - electronic boxes and even possibly piped to anyy rear diff's to help increase the cooling effect.

Nice image and unusual to see one of these racing - not a 'typical' GT racer over here in the UK!

Kind regards, Neil.

@Rex - very nice captures!.

@Owenn01 - Thanks, Neil. This is the only I've seen on this side of the pond too.

@Chris65 - The second is my favorite. What settings did you use? I'm still experimenting with them on my A900...

Okay,

A few from last weekends Historic Masters meeting - this combines GT's, pre-80's Touring Cars and GP machinery in a varied and packed programme. I've tried to give a flavour of the diversity through the images taken of which these are the first few in addition to a page posted earlier. Any questions on the cars etc. feel free to ask!

1. The Pack Approaches

2. Through Yesterdays Cement Dust

3. Pressing On

4. Variety

5. Lightweight Jaguar E-type with AC Cobra in Pursuit

6. Austin Healy 3000 vs Aston Martin DB4GT

7. E-Type Chasing Down a Ford Mustang GT350

8. Still Pressing On

Comments very welcome and thanks for looking!

Kind regards, Neil.
