Hi all,
since Frank re-started this thread, I'd like to add my own little Frankman-moment! Not a pelican and not as sharp in the setting sun, but hey... I like the pose:

regards,
Bernd

Decided to torture myself this weekend by trying for some warblers.

This little Nashville seemed curious.

This black-and-white had an entirely different opinion of me.

Many nice shots in this thread so far!
That picture was taken almost a year ago and processed today, just to see what I could squeeze out of it...

A700 + Min 300/2.8 + TCx2 + heavy crop
This was more an experiment than anything else (ISO1600, 1/160s for 600 mm, heavy crop...)

The wife and I drove over to the gulf this morning.
The eagles are back:

We found a mature Reddish Egret feeding in the shallows:

Hi all...another heron sunset...

...and a bouncing black tit. Bit blurry, but I liked that spring-like phase of movement:

...and a sea gull with jammed landing gear :

...and the old man, erm, heron and the sea, well lake, whatever...

regards,
Bernd

This is the famous Gloucester Eagle from Massachusetts. Military men will get it.

This is a real live Seagull that was landing on a dock post at Gloucester harbor. I was shooting Sepia mode on my A700 with a green cokin filter. I thought it was a geat accidental shot.
