@wolfy: I suppose he gets credit for trying, but that Ibis doesn't have a very convincing gull impersonation in #4 . I like the angle and DOF on the Cockatoo.

@brog: Flame On! Great capture. It must have taken a lot of patience (and a lot of shots). The noise in the sky is a bit distracting on this crop, but it is nothing that can't be fixed in PP.

@aa: nice composition and DOF on the swallows and an awesome capture on the kite!

@Brandy: Nice job with the robin on a wire. The diagonal wires and backward glance of the robin work for me.

@geardown: Great start to #24, Richard! I like the composition.

and Frankman, amazing as always. Hard to pick one among seven great shots, but the contrast and reflection in #1 gets my vote. I didn't know you moonlighted as a pelican trainer .

Cheers... Brian

I bet that spider is a mouthful!

I'll subscribe to #24 with this. Please C&C if you will.

"PairADucks"

A700, 70-200SSM(No Filters!) + 1.4TC, ISO 800, f5, 280mm

Processing shots from the A700 drives me nuts!!!! If it weren't for its great performance in the field I would shoot the 5D more often.

Edit: Here is another.

"Goose Portrait"

Same day with basically the same specs.

They are beautiful (if sometimes frustrating) subjects. Looks like you have the bird bug! Nice detail and bokey, Happy Hour. What equipment are you using?

Cheers... Brian

Wow, I got a A350 and it's a helluva lotta work. Gotta get me one o' them A700's

Edit... Nice YAG's, Bert! There's a pair building a nest, of all places, at my bank right next to the drive-through lane. Once they have a clutch of eggs, I'll have to stay in my car to take pictures.
