Too many accomplishments to mention on these pages. Frank's latest series, aa's kite and swallows, geardown's starter and Happy Hour's "second" bird picture stand out in the memory. Am particularly enthralled by pelicans and moon, but good stuff from all.
@sydknee - you have to bite the bullet and post - then the others without truly spectacular shots will dare to follow and your picture begins to look better and better..... or that's the theory. Brandy - nice Scarlet Robin on P1. Don't underrate the shot - they are a hard bird to get with a good pose AND sunlight AND nice background AND bokeh. You got all four.
Frank - your Whistling Kite shots back on P1 show why you have the rep you do. Most of us have plenty of fuzzy and distant shots of this bird - but your technique, timing and site selection set you apart. Happy Hour - you've set yourself a heck of a bar to meet with your second bird shot. It's a beauty. #3's going to have to be something special! ;) Here's a bif from me. Forgive the less than perfect focus - this guy is *tiny*. Diamond Firetail (Stagonopleura guttata) IUCN Near Threatened. |

Well done guys - top quality work all round. Richard - no need to apologise mate - it's an excellent capture, as are all your images. Really portays the motion well. I'm glad to see a few other folk getting into birding. It's like golf - very addictive!

Frank, that is the most 3D looking photos I have seen to date. Sharp, great DoF and lighting, awesome.

Botswana! - wow, I'm looking forward to some great wildlife shots Robert. If these are any indication, then we're in for a treat.
