I do not shoot many birds, I stick to the easier stuff ! These were taken recently in the gardens of a hotel I was staying. The Green Woodpecker is proabably the most 'exotic' wild bird I have ever captured, shame it is not very good. I only saw it this once and was shooting from the bottom of the tree and the highlights are 'blown' these are the best I can squeeze out of the shots.
A700 1/2/6 with 70-200ssm 3/4/5 with Tamron 200-500 (exif included) 1. Green Woodpecker ![]() 2. ![]() 3 Mother (is this a mistle thrush) ? ![]() 4. Mother & Chick ![]() 5. And the ubiquitous Robin ![]() 6. And this one you have probably seen before featured in Exhibition 54 recently. ![]() Roy |

Magnificent Frigatebird
First one of these I've managed pics of. This one's a juvenile, the adult males are the one's with that big red bladder at the neck. ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by momech - 03 July 2008 at 21:42 |
