bms44974, very nice shots with the 70300G! I noticed these pictures were all taken at the 300mm end, maybe a 300/4 G or even a 300/2.8 G will be your next companion?

Thanks, nitrosyl. I'm sure my current companion would have something to say about putting $6K at the end of my camera. I had to sell all of my old Pentax equipment last month to get the 70-300G. I'm sure there's some long, fast glass in my future... just as soon as I can find something else to sell on eBay.

Cheers... Brian

Thanks for your comments. It was a midday and I am in the Tropics so the light was harsh. I will remember to use the Saturation next time. Much appreciated.

It's been very cold and freezing all day for the past few days. So I went out and got some BOI today

Nice one Mike. Was it cropped much? I ask because the feathers are just a tad blurred. Might also be that you were at ISO800. Or it might be the slowish shutter speed.

Brettina He was about 10 ft away. Crop only for horizional position. In the shade. Hand Held 560mm with flash.

Gustav I found a good stick and it is mounted outside my window. Great work and patience with the Kingfisher!

BMS994474 excellent feeder shots!

Everybody keep them coming I enjoy them all.

@ sue

Nice work. Suggest you clone out the two gulls that are on the right hand edge of the frame of #2. The light gives that shot a nice three-dimensional look that puts the viewer right on the beach.

Great photos Frank, as usual.

Nice shots Sue, how close were the birds in flight?
