The lark does it for me. I think it is really an endearing picture of a not too cute bird. But the way it sits on the reed is really nice.

Very nice shots, Luis.
I liked the shots of the swallow (barn swallow?), the moorhen and the one after it (what bird is it, btw?).

Now comes my weekend stuff.
These shots were taken during a walk at the Baylands with my friend Jim (JamesD).
A900, 400G, 1.4x APO TC, handheld, processed in LR2 + CS3, cropped and resized for the web.
1. Immature Red-tailed Hawk in flight

4. Anna's Hummingbird (oh no! not again!)
5. Willet taking a walk
6. Ruddy duck in breeding plumage - This little guy was foraging and got quite muddy.

10. Song Sparrow singing his song

Northern Mockingbird, Mimus Polyglottus, Inverness, Fl.
Had gone out to shoot water fowl along Little Lake Henderson, but came around a corner to see this mockingbird sitting on a hedge, not more than 6 feet from me (say 1.8m). He looked at me as I brought the camera up, sang for me briefly and then flew off.
