Excellent work guys - the quality of the work is vey high. This thread just grows too quickly for me to keep up with individual comments, but I was amazed at the colours of Pavel's little green bird a couple of posts up. I presume this is from South Africa. BTW the light in both your shots was magic Pavel.

Bernd, I think you caught the very rare 'Heronpecker'!

Pavel, that luminous green bird is just fantastic. As Frank said, the light is perfect.

It is Sumpters Wharfe in Oamaru's harbour. They rest there during the day. If you are lucky enough to time it right they all take off at the same time near dusk and that is a impressive sight. One day I will be lucky enough to get a photo of it.
