@6tyNine: What did you use to scan the Fujicolour Superia Reala 100 with, it came up looking pretty damn good.

Yet again, more excellent work.
In particular (I hate singling one out from a crowd): Brandy - these are very impressive indeed. You have nailed everything - exposure, sharpness, colour. I assume these were with the 70-300. I wish EVERYONE could see these and see what this lens can do in capable hands. Well done mate! Frank |

Thanks Frank, I'm new to this as you know. Yes it's a great lens and I seem to find a sweet spot around 150mm,love it. I was just about to post the following when I saw your comment. Pavel's one legged sleeper reminded me I had this one.... "Excuse me sir, but a girl does need to groom occasionally......." ![]() ![]() Cheers. |

Another vote here for Brandy's Pacific Gulls!
My favourite is #3 in the first set. A combination of the juvenile plumage, the wide open mouth and the angle of shot make that thing look like a Pterodactyl. When looking at shots like this that I have no trouble at all in accepting that birds are just flying dinosaurs. Could you imagine if it had a 20 foot wingspan - "You're not eating that chip, are you...." |

Waldstein - welcome and lovely shot. Just the right depth of focus, nice and sharp, lovely colours too.

Very nice photo, Waldstein
It has a remarkable resemblance with a real secretary with these eyelashes, the spruced cloth and this what-do-you-want-again look ![]() |
