Welcome to Dyxum Louise. I probably would have tried to isolate the birds or ducklings a little bit better as the stray "bits" detract from the main subject.

But keep shooting, and next time make your posting size a bit bigger -- say 860 pixels wide.

UPDATE: See from your Photostream that you have some shots such as Savernake_Park_28_04_09-53 which do isolate the subject.

Thanks Bernd. I wish we got the Roseate Spinbills here as well - they're very special.

Yeah, Frank those spoonbill shots rock!
What an odd creature, looks like a platypus had fallen in love with an egret!
regards,
Bernd

Nice work guys. Here are a couple from earlier this month:

The last time I went to the lake there were none close by.

Yep, that's some detail on that ostrich(?)
Here's a stonechat I took in Ireland, don't think I had posted it on the birds thread yet (it's slightly reworked anyway
This is probably my best shot ever, so far.

regards,
Bernd

Dinner time at Lake Henderson. A300, 70-300G with some stubborn sensor dust... Ran the cleaning cycle, blown it several times with a rocket blaster. Guess it's time for the cotton swab. :-(
