Not one of my best shots, but I'm pleased anyway. It took 16 months to finally photograph a Kingfisher, but I got Red Kites at my first attempt. Can't decide which species to concentrate on next...

Nice work everybody.

@chthoniid - nice white-eye. Tough bird to get, very small and hyper with it. Well done.
@brandy - great sequence there.
@Mike - terrific catch of the Cattle Egret chicks.

A couple more from me:

A piece of Brandy's bacon (with a Whistling Kite in there somewhere as well)

Some Black-winged Stilts

One of the few threads I can't stay away from. A source of inspiration.

Richard & Brandy.... you make the in flight shots look effortless to capture. Stunning & well done. Thank you for sharing.

Cattle Egret trying to sleep

With chicks

great shots. like the series with the white egret
I'll give it a try too.

Frankman earlier said, you should start with seagulls to give birding a try.
Here you are. I was feeding them with one hand and shooting them with the other (CZ1680).

Just one to show how friendly they are when food is available

And one to finish with seagulls and go for the real stuff

and now for real (didn't need any of Frankman's advises). But I do like the effect (70200SSM)

edit: repaird some typo's
