Choppy sea, changing light, 200HS with old 2x T/C, meaning MF and fairly slow shutter - I'm rather pleased (and surprised) with the result

P.S. Can anyone recommend some noise reduction freeware?
Noiseware community edition is a free standalone program. It only saves to jpg but seems to do a better job for me than some of the other programs I've tried. You can find it at the bottom of Tis Page DS |

Geardown, this is a nice freebie - works better than the NR supplied with PSProX.......

This one had everything stacked against it as far as image quality went - bad light, ISO 1600 and beercan with 2x TC at 420mm. I'm still glad I got the shot. I gotta get me some fast glass, though!!!
P.S. Can anyone recommend some noise reduction freeware? ![]() |

Some of the first shots with my new Sigma 50-500
Tern (with guano deposited while taking the photo) I cloned out the guano on a second photo as I thought it took the eye away from the subject. ![]() Tui, (Parson Bird) ![]() ![]() I never noticed the "ringlet" collar on the tui before taking these photos Edited by happyjack - 11 August 2007 at 04:06 |

With fairly low light I ran into this incredible amount of little ducks.
Taken with beercan at 800 iso ![]() and when they swim away ![]() got them before the heron, the rats or sheer drowning got them, I'm afraid one mother can not guide this amount of ducks |

I think you could be right, it looks like it was recently enjoying a bath, i'd rather say I didn't know what it was than get it wrong!
Here's some more at the same feeder. ![]() |

European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis) in Swedish called Steglits.

My guess is that your unidentified is a juvenile greenfinch. |

Bit of a cheat this one, as I shifted the position of the bird :-)
