Took this one very early yesterday morning. Another Great Heron I know, but I find them very beautiful and quite a challenge to get a good photo out of.

Got a new toy, so it's time to start posting some bird pictures. A fresh thread that's not already full of frighteningly good pictures might be a good place to start :)
(Splendid?) Blue Wren. OOF tail is a pity, I rarely find these in sunlight.

An Eagle Owl. Captive, of course, but I like that this shot hide the rings and straps (jesses) on its legs. Taken with a Sigma 70-300 DG APO @ 150mm

Some very nice shots this time around. These are not as good as most here but these Herron's are very tough to shoot around here since it's almost impossible to get close to them at the marsh where i walk on the weekend mornings. Shot with Tamron 200-500mm
