All beautiful shots in this thread again. Love to keep it "alive and kicking" so here's another contribution from me. One hungry bird last spring.

Some very nice work here by the "newbie" brigade -- there are a few seniors who will have to look to their laurels.

Welcome to those who have not yet been acknowledged since they joined.

Hey guys... while I was out shooting planes (the aluminum birds) yesterday I saw a group of ducks at an inlet to Boston Harbor. I decided to aim the Bigma at them and get something... it's a testament to antishake that it came out as good as it did at 500mm handheld.

I couldn't get too close to them as they were on a private dock but having 500mm sure helps :)

Hopefully I'll get a little more into birding as time goes on...

The beautiful shots just keep rolling in here.

Slide427 - welcome to Dyxum. Nice shots - I especially like the last hummingbird shot.

BACK - great in-flight shots. You (and others) are making it hard to resist upgrading to an A700.

Here are a couple from todays walk in the local reservation...

Yellow-rumped Warbler...

Ruby-crowned Kinglet (I think)...

The first two were taken at a local bird reserve through a dirty window with the Sigma 400.

The Swans were on Lake Windermere In England and the Owl was at a old vehicle rally

Not much to say; managed some extra time to go birding a bit, and managed to get some nice ones. Of course, here are the results.. :)
