That hawk shot with all the feather extension is one that many of us would love to capture. The heron is another cracker.

Am so jealous of your fighting Vultures and that Secretary Bird - wow - never got that close! And as for the Ground Hornbill - FANTASTIC!!

Wow ! What an inspiring thread this turned out to be ! So I guess you don't need Canon gear to shoot birds after all ;) Too many good pictures here to call out fave's - keep 'em coming - makes me want to find some time to get back out !
