The quality of photo's in this thread is a joy.

I'm unsure if this is a 'bird' or a 'flower' image

Had some trouble getting through the branches to get clear shots of these Northern Mockingbirds. Two of them made a home in my tree. I'll try again tomorrow.

It was taken last week; sea gull (i used dictionary =)



Sony a100 and 100mm macro. Little cropped Direct jpeg from machine, very little level.

@Cav: Effective use of fill flash, Steve. A cropped version might work well here.

@Mowak: Beautiful bird. Looks like it could use some sharpening.

@pdave: nice portrait. I almost expect the catchlight from a beauty dish . Excellent detail.

@ahmet: Welcome to Dyxum, Ahmet. I like the composition and angle of the head.

@mpb: Nice shot, Mark. I normally like subjects looking into the frame, but the counterbalance of the log works well.
