This handsome fellow was chilling on a fence less than 15' away. Shot with a Beercan in low light. Yahoo!

@Brandy - No had it on a Tripod
@momech - We saw it flying into a bush when we went birding and since we were going ahead we did not stop. After almost 2 hours when we were coming back we stopped 200 meters behind and went searching for the place. We could not go near as there was a deep stream between us and the bird. Had to put the camera on the tripod and stand on a stone to get a clear view of the bird.

Another vote for the Peregrine Falcon. Vinay was that a hand held shot?

Blue Faced Honeyeater.

Partridge Pigeon from Northern Australia.

And a bedraggled looking Red Winged Parrot

Slowly working through four months of travel shots!!

Cheers Brandy.

Very nice Vinay. You have great eyes to spot that bird at that distance, expecially as well as he blends into the vegetation. And then get the shot...

An Indian Eagle Owl shot with the Minolta 600 f4 and 1.4 TCon my A700. This was the first time i used the 600 and was blown away by it. The Owl was almost at a distance of 100 meters but was still able to make the photo. Realy need to start saving for the 500 G if it ever comes out.

Interesting shot, I'm leaning towards a Peregrine Falcon.

A couple of "freehand" hummers. The little guys finally showed up at my feeders last Thrusday, and the remnants of Hurricane Karl showed up Friday. No way to set up all that flash equipment; will have to wait a while longer to see if I can do as well as Old Clicker, the 2 he posted were excellent.
