It's a real joy to get a pair of these guys at dawn as the sun is coming up over the desert horizon.

I don't really enjoy shooting caged animals, but these parrots were so dang beautiful. In preparing for the Yellowstone trip, we took the new lens (70-400G) out for a test run, to get used to it. We have a kangaroo conservatory here in Georgia. Largest population of marsupials outside of Australia.

This is one more I sat and processed today. This is a Pied Kingfisher, I shot earlier this year from a rocking boat using the Sony A700 and Tamron 200-500. I remember there was a Pro with Nikon gear with me on the same boat and he was quite impressed with the A700 after seeing this shot.

@Nebbor - Loved the intensity of the look.
Here's a Spot-Billed Pelican shot at a Lake in Bangalore.

@cnb88 - The Tamron was good when the light was good . Once you had slightly overcast conditions the pictures would be very soft. I changed to the 70-400G a couple of months back and sometimes i miss the 100mm range i sacrificed.

A few shots from the last couple days at the Boulogne woods:

A crow

A duck

A swan
I detest bugs, especially spiders.
