I could not take it anymore so here are some shots taken with my new Sony 70-400G attached to my A700. They were taken at yesterday righ before sunset on an overcast day so I had to use high ISO as well as low shutter speeds. I got a few managed to get a few good ones under these conditions and handheld I might add. I used Adobe LR 3 Beta to process them.

1. @400mm, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/160

2. @250mm, ISO 640, f5.6, 1/100

3. @250mm, ISO 640, f5.6, 1/80, This one is my favorite from the set

4. @230mm, ISO 800, f5.6, 1/160

5. @230mm, ISO 800, f5.6, 1/100

6. @400mm, ISO 800, f5.6, 1/100

Swamp Harrier, something I've never seen before.

Eastern Rosella.

And finally a White Plumed Honeyeater.

klw10 congrats on new lens. Keep the sun behind you even on a cloudy day and you will have brighter images.(unless you are shooting for a dark gloomy look)

aa That is one awesome photograph. I think that should be picture of the week.

Thanks for the advice TBMike. I had to shoot with the Sun in front of me due to the location I was shooting at this time. I will keep that in mind though.
